  1. Conflict Catcher™ 4.0.2 Updater

  3. This will update your Conflict Catcher from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2. This update includes:
  4.  
  5. a) New Control Panel
  6. b) New Extension
  7. c) New Reference library
  8.  
  9. This update will not affect your customized Sets or Links.  With the updated Reference library, you will be presented with the option to update your built-in Sets and Links.  We recommend that you select this option.

  11. To apply the update:
  12.  
  13. 1. Restart your computer with extensions off.
  14. 2. Double click on the “Conflict Catcher™ 4.0.2 Updater” file.
  15. 3. After reading the Readme, click "Patch" to perform the update.
  16.         Locate the "Conflict Catcher™" file in the Control Panels folder.
  17.         Locate the "Conflict Extension™" file in the Extensions folder.
  18.         Locate the "Conflict Catcher™ Reference" file in the Extensions folder.

  20. Changes between 4.0.1 and 4.0.2:

  22. • The English version of Conflict Catcher 4 now supports international systems. 
  23. • Group links have been updated.
  24. • Online Help has been updated.
  25. • Updated built-in sets for System 7.6 and 7.6.1.
  26. • Fixed a potential problem with “Edit File Types” preferences.
  27. • Conflict Catcher now displays more characters in the version string within the magnifying glass window.
  28. • Support for the upcoming Shared Libraries folder for Mac™ OS 8.

  30. New Features of 4.0.2:

  32. • Breaking Group Links to a Startup File
  33.  
  34. Occasionally, it may be necessary to break any group links to a specific startup file.  This allows direct manipulation of a file while ignoring any group links that might include it.  The “Break Links” button is located directly below the “Change Colors” button for any magnified startup file.  To break a link, simply click the button and indicate that you really want to break any group links to this startup file.  Incompatible and Forced Order links are unaffected by this option.
